Sometimes when I’m surfing around online, I have less of a targeted mission, and want to sit back and get lost reading interesting articles. Beyond the news sites, Wikipedia is a good place to start. It’s easy to delve into some interesting reading on topics you probably didn’t seek out to read.

Another terrific online learning destination is at HowStuffWorks.com. At HowStuffWorks, they have a plethora of fantastic articles on just about any topic you could imagine. The site is updated daily, and jam packed with articles, blogs, and podcasts. I’ve spent hours reading through their articles and blogs. There is something here for everyone.

In addition to written content, HowStuffWorks.com has a large selection of podcasts as well. I got hooked on the site after subscribing to the Stuff You Should Know podcast with Josh Clark and Charles Bryant. Their podcast is always interesting and entertaining. Those two guys play off each other very well. I also subscribe to Stuff You Missed in History Class, as well as Tech Stuff. I feel confident in recommending any of their podcasts because all of them are well produced.

Check out the site sometime when you have time to sit back and learn a thing or two.
